The wind was blowing throughout the Zlatibor district in the afternoon, but the biggest damage was caused in Bajina Bašta. Although locals in nearby villages were hoping for rain due to meteorologists’ forecasts, no precipitation occurred in the evening. Meanwhile, the hottest city in Europe was Aydin, Turkey, with 40.6 degrees Celsius, while globally the hottest was Kuwait at 49.6 degrees. Meteorologists warn that strong winds will continue in the coming days, with possible storm gusts in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
