Seismologist Ana Mladenović points out that the Mediterranean-Balkan region is the most active in terms of earthquakes. Greece has experienced 550 tremors in the last three days, causing panic among citizens. Mladenović explains that the frequency of earthquakes of the same magnitude is unusual and that a stronger earthquake or even a tsunami in the Adriatic Sea could occur, although it is less likely. Historical data shows that tsunamis are not uncommon in the Mediterranean. In Serbia, an earthquake is expected.
