An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale struck the wider area of Santorini, marking the strongest quake recorded on this island in the Greek region. The epicenter was at a depth of 14 kilometers below the earth’s surface, with no reports of damage or injuries. Previously, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred north and northeast of Amorgos. The region has been affected by a series of earthquakes, leading to the evacuation of 11,000 people due to fears of a strong impact and the activation of the volcano.
