Student Blockades in Belgrade: Police Pressure and Chaos on the Streets

Belgrade streets are on fire with student blockades erupting after the arrest of eight fellow students! The police are not backing down – masked forces, heavy presence, and brutal removal of barricades. Students refuse to quit, calling for continued civil disobedience across Serbia. In Čačak, Zemun, and New Belgrade, citizens push containers onto intersections, only for police to persistently remove them. Vučić declares, “These hooligans are committing crimes against their own country!” But students sing the national anthem and stand firm! At least 16 people have been arrested, police claim professional conduct, while opposition and citizens see repression and violence. It all started after the accused students were charged with preparing violent changes to the constitutional order. Protests have spread to about ten cities, tensions are rising. Police damaged their own vehicle, and citizens threw bottles at a driver trying to break through a blockade. The government insists it has enough strength to maintain order, but students and citizens say, “We won’t stop!” This is not just a clash; it’s a fight for Serbia’s future! So, what do you think? Is this a fight for justice or chaos no one can control? Share your thoughts, maybe your comment will break the silence on the streets!
