The Faculty of Economics in Niš has made a decision that split students right down the middle – 50.49% voted to hold exam sessions on August 11, while 49.51% were against it! Yes, you read that right, the difference is literally one-tenth of a percent! Even though the exam sessions were approved, this doesn’t mean the end of blockades and class boycotts, as students continue to say classes won’t be held normally until their demands are met. Six exam sessions for undergraduates and the start of master’s and doctoral sessions from July 1 – sounds like chaos that will last until the end of the year. Is this the beginning of the end for student protests or just another round in the endless fight for rights? Comment, argue, and don’t forget – this is just the beginning, and the real drama is yet to come!
