Students Want to Learn: Fight, Victory, and Dignified Celebration on Vidovdan

Here’s the epic tale of students who fought like lions to get their lectures and auditoriums back! For three whole months, yes, three months, students from the Medical, Political, and Technical faculties in Belgrade and Novi Sad stood firm in Pionirski Park, enduring insults, threats, and provocations just to be allowed to learn. And guess what? They won! Faculties are open, auditoriums are theirs, and the exam period has been extended to 10 days. Milos Pavlovic, a Medical student, says they’ll celebrate their victory with dignity—no shouting, no vuvuzelas—just a literary afternoon in front of the National Assembly. Luka Laloscevic from the Faculty of Political Sciences highlights the huge support from citizens on Vidovdan, which meant a lot to them. Vladimir Balac from Technical Sciences in Novi Sad says they weren’t scared by threats, stayed strong in the fight for knowledge, education, and honor, and that they won’t give up Serbia. This fight isn’t just for them, but for all of us who want better education and a brighter future. Vidovdan, the day Serbs chose a tough but right path, is now also the day students showed that persistence and dignity pay off. If you think this is just another student protest story, think again—this is a story about knowledge beating obstacles, about youth who don’t give up, and about a Serbia that can do better. So, what do you think? Is this the start of a new era for education or just a short break before the next battle? Drop a comment, share your take, or just crack a good joke about student fights—you know we love a good story!
