Universities in Serbia are on the brink of collapse due to student blockades that have lasted for months! The Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Novi Sad, Patrik Drid, openly accuses political activists and hooligans of hijacking the dialogue between professors and students, while students and professors at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade claim that Rector Vladan Đokić presented a series of inaccurate data and call for deans to resign due to manipulation. The situation has escalated to the point where students report police attacks, and Rector Đokić praises the brave and peaceful student uprising as a driving force for social change. The Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) appeals for urgent provision of conditions for uninterrupted teaching, while students block the faculty and break off all dialogue with the administration. All this happens while no one receives a salary increase and exam scheduling is done unlawfully. Is this a fight for rights or chaos destroying education? How long will this university drama last? Join the conversation and tell us what you think – are the students heroes or hooligans? Or maybe it’s time for everyone to sit down and solve the problem before it’s too late!
