Summer Cocktails from Zagreb That Will Blow Your Taste Buds

Summer Cocktails from Zagreb That Will Blow Your Taste Buds!

Imagine this: hot summer evenings, a cold cocktail in your hand, and an explosion of flavor in your mouth! That’s exactly what the cocktail masters from the famous Pablos bar in the Botanist restaurant in New Zagreb are offering. They shared two recipes with us that are a true revolution in the world of drinks.

The first cocktail, called Hi Barbie, mixes 50 ml of gin, 25 ml of fresh lemon, 10 ml of raspberry, and 10 ml of coconut. All shaken well with ice, strained into a glass with fresh ice, and garnished with fresh raspberry and coconut flakes. Yes, you read that right – raspberry and coconut in a cocktail! It’s the perfect blend of sweetness and refreshment.

The second cocktail, Josips, is a real flavor bomb: 40 ml of Botanist liqueur, 20 ml of lychee liqueur, 20 ml of fresh lemon, 10 ml of honey syrup, and 10 ml of foamer, with three drops of magic velvet. All dry shaken, then shaken with ice and finely strained into a glass with a large ice cube. This cocktail is a true work of art in a glass.

These cocktails are not just drinks, they are an experience! Young cocktail masters in Zagreb bring freshness and a break from the usual, conquering taste buds from the very first sip. And that’s not all – food prices in Croatia have risen by 5% over the last five years, while in Romania they fell by 7.4%, Hungary by 4.4%, and France by 0.5%. Croatia is in a unique situation, but at least we can console ourselves with these fantastic cocktails.

Additionally, the Pilato winery recently celebrated 30 years and presented a palette of its wines at a tasting in Zagreb, while the Istrian winery Medea offers excellent wines from the southernmost Istrian position, surrounded by sun and sea.

And while Croatia taxes coffee at 35%, Italy and Slovenia charge only 9% VAT, which is another reason to indulge in these cocktails and wines, because life is too short for bad drinks!

If you’re a fan of a good sip and want to try something new and exciting, Pablos bar in Zagreb is the place to visit this summer. And if you have your favorite cocktail or recipe, feel free to share it – maybe you’ll be the next cocktail master!

After all, who wants to sit at home and drink boring drinks when you can enjoy these flavor explosions? So tell us in the comments – which cocktail intrigued you the most? Or do you have your own summer hit? Don’t be stingy, share with us!

Enjoy and let’s toast to summer with the best cocktails from Zagreb!
