Support for Young Entrepreneurs in Serbia

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Serbia, Adriana Mesarović, stated that the government strongly supports young entrepreneurs through various contests and credit lines. Currently, there is an active credit line for young entrepreneurs up to 35 years old with a maximum amount of 5 million dinars and an interest rate of 1.5% per annum, with a repayment period of up to 78 months. This initiative aims to help young people establish or further strengthen their entrepreneurial ventures. The government also subsidizes interest rates for young people purchasing apartments. All young entrepreneurs are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this support.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the importance of state support for young entrepreneurs as a means to reduce unemployment and promote social equity. They highlight the government’s role in providing accessible financial resources and criticize any bureaucratic hurdles that might limit access to these programs.

Center: Centrist sources report the government’s initiatives factually, focusing on the details of the credit lines and subsidies available to young entrepreneurs. They present the information as part of broader economic development efforts without strong ideological framing.

Right: Right-leaning media stress the importance of entrepreneurship and self-reliance among youth, praising the government’s support as a way to stimulate private sector growth and economic freedom. They may also emphasize the low interest rates and long repayment terms as incentives for business creation.
