School starts Jan 20. Gov’t urges teachers to resume classes.

The Ministry of Education announced the start of the second semester on January 20th, following successful negotiations with the Government and unions. Minister Slavica Đukić Dejanović informed school principals that there is no justification for the announced illegal refusal of teachers to hold classes. The Government has adopted amendments to the Criminal Code to protect educational workers, emphasizing its commitment to improving education. There were warnings about pressures and politicization in schools, and the responsibility of principals for the legality of operations was highlighted.
