The Tenth Attempt on Nenad Alajbegović’s Life: Who Is the Target No One Can Protect?

In New Belgrade, on Narodnih Heroja Street, Nenad Alajbegović, known as Alibeg, a former leader of Partizan fans, was shot at for the tenth time. Tonight around 8:10 PM, an unknown person fired multiple bullets at him while he was sitting in his car. Two bullets hit him, one lodged in his rib. Despite being wounded, Alajbegović stayed calm and managed to get on a bus, then into a taxi that took him to the emergency center.

Alajbegović claims he has no ties to fan conflicts, clans, or crime, nor to the disappearance of Lazar Vukićević, which some media tried to link him to. He has not attended football matches for ten years and has no legal troubles. However, attacks on him have spanned decades — in the 1990s he was targeted at least three times, and in recent years six times. None of these attacks have been solved.

The police are actively working to identify and find the attackers but have had no success so far. Alajbegović said he has not received threats and does not know who might be behind the attacks. He suspects it might be some young person eager to prove themselves.

This case highlights a serious security problem in Belgrade, where even well-known figures are not safe from violence. The tenth attempt to kill one man sounds like a crime movie plot but is, unfortunately, reality.

If you have thoughts on who might be behind these attacks or what the government should do, feel free to join the conversation. Maybe your theory will be the key to solving this mystery!
