Texas Hell: 32 Dead, 27 Missing, and the Rain Just Won’t Stop!
Texas is in chaos! At least 32 people, including 14 children, have lost their lives in catastrophic floods hitting the central part of this US state. But that’s not all – 27 people are still missing! Yes, you read that right, 27!
Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of emergency and ordered an urgent search for the missing, but the reality is harsh. The rain is pouring like the sky has broken, and rivers have risen over six meters in just two hours.
Among the victims is Jane Regsdale, director and co-owner of the children’s camp “Quothart Orsquod Hills.” Imagine the tragedy – kids at camp, water rising, helicopters rescuing people from a deadly trap.
More than 60 people have been rescued or evacuated, but the question remains how many are still trapped in the water. President Donald Trump called the floods “terrible” and promised federal aid, but is that enough?
A state of emergency has been declared in numerous counties, including Bandera, Comal, Concho, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, Kimble, Llano, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Reeves, San Saba, and Tom Green.
This disaster is a reminder of how ruthless nature can be and how vulnerable we are. As Texas battles this calamity, the rest of the world watches and wonders – what next?
