Thompson Concert at Zagreb Hippodrome: 800 Pregnant Women, 33 with Health Issues, and Traffic Chaos!

Zagreb Prepares for the Concert of the Year, But Is the City Ready for Chaos?

Next week, Marko Perković Thompson’s concert will take place at Zagreb Hippodrome, expected to gather around 30,000 people. But wait, that’s not all – a staggering 800 pregnant women are expected to attend! Yes, you read that right, 800 pregnant women! And that’s not the only problem.

Health Challenges and Logistics

According to data from an app used by the organizers, 33 people have serious or chronic health issues. These include people with high blood pressure, allergies, asthma, diabetes, and heart conditions. Organizers plan to have between 50 and 80 emergency medical teams on site, each with different costs, and security will be provided by 500 stewards.

Traffic Nightmare Ahead

About 60,000 people are expected to come to Zagreb on the day of the concert, with 60% arriving by private cars. The largest number of vehicles will come from the eastern parts of Croatia (24 vehicles, 69 people), followed by the south, west, and north. Organizers urge attendees to arrive a day or two earlier to avoid massive traffic jams, but realistically, who will listen?

Security Measures and Control

Entry to the so-called sterile zone will be possible from 10 AM, through four entry points. All sectors are limited to a maximum of 11 people, and movement between sectors will not be allowed. There is a nine-meter-wide corridor for emergency services, and every tenth visitor will have access to a “tower” – a help reporting point.

Organization and Preparations

Marko Perković and his management have been preparing the concert for over a month, with daily rehearsals and meetings. The technical team is engaged in all details, from scenography to security aspects. The concert will start around 9 PM and last up to three hours, with a controlled and staged exit.

Is This Really a Patriotic Evening or a Night of Complete Madness?

While organizers claim there is no need for panic and everything will go smoothly, it’s clear that Zagreb will be on the edge of a traffic and security collapse that day. Imagine 800 pregnant women in a crowd of 30,000, dozens of people with serious health problems, all in one day!

If you thought this was just another concert, think again. This is a logistical and health challenge that Zagreb might not be ready for. What do you think? Will everything go smoothly, or are we in for total chaos? Drop a comment, share your big event stories, or just crack a joke to lighten the mood!
