Total Blockade of Serbia: Students vs. Vučić and Police Brutality

Serbia is in total chaos today, and the students have decided to put an end to it! Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Čačak, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar – all major cities are completely blocked from early morning. Why? Because the students say: “When the constitution and laws stop mattering, we must stop everything!” They called on citizens to peacefully but decisively halt traffic and show they won’t stand for violence and rights violations.

President Aleksandar Vučić, like a character from a movie, begs the students “like God” to come to their senses and not create chaos. He says the blockades are serious crimes and the state must not allow violence. But what’s really violence here – the blockades or what’s happening on the streets? While Vučić pleads, students and citizens refuse to back down.

Last night, thousands gathered in front of the Law Faculty in Belgrade, where students and professors stood united defending academic freedom. Rector Vladan Đokić reminded everyone of the dark days when Nazis occupied the faculty, and now they’re fighting for freedom again. In Čačak, clashes erupted outside the SNS offices, where a city councilor, Vučić’s godfather, physically attacked a woman! Police intervened in several cities, and opposition politicians were detained.

Citizens blocked industrial zones, threw eggs and trash at SNS offices, and in Novi Sad, a silent march and a minute of silence were held for accident victims. Protesters chanted “Who doesn’t jump is a Čačak!” – a new symbol of resistance.

This blockade isn’t just a student fight; it’s a fight of the whole nation against authoritarianism, police brutality, and the crushing of freedom. Serbia stands today, but the question is how long the powers that be can ignore the voice of the people. If you think this is just another protest, think again. This is a revolution in the making.

So, what about you? Are you for the blockade or against it? Or maybe you have a funny take on Vučić begging students “like God”? Drop a joke in the comments and let’s see who’s got the best comeback to this madness!
