Hellish Traffic Chaos in Serbia: Heat, Roadworks, and Foreign Transit Cause Road Meltdown!

Brace yourselves for hellish traffic chaos in Serbia this weekend! Tamara Ninić from AMSS warns that the last weekend of June will bring a true traffic nightmare. Why? Because a larger number of foreign nationals will be transiting through Serbia, which means border crossings will be packed like never before. On the main road Paraćin-Zaječar, near the village of Lukovo, traffic will be periodically stopped between 10 AM and 6 PM, meaning you could be stuck for hours waiting to get through. Traffic police will try to manage the chaos, but how much will that help? Additionally, roadworks on the regional road between Beranovac and Goč will completely halt traffic from 7 AM to 5 PM, with an alternative route through Vrnjačka Banja. And as if that’s not enough, AMSS advises drivers to travel in the early morning or late afternoon due to the scorching heatwave bearing down on us. Fatigue behind the wheel is a real danger, so if you’re planning a long trip, get plenty of rest and take frequent breaks. Also, check your vehicle’s technical condition and documents, because no one wants their car to break down or get stopped by the police right now. In short, if you thought your trip this weekend would be smooth sailing, think again! Traffic jams, heat melting the asphalt, and all-day roadworks — the perfect recipe for stress and frustration. So, what’s your plan to dodge this traffic disaster? Or are you just going to surrender to the chaos and the waiting? Share your traffic jam stories, maybe we can all have a laugh at this road madness together!
