In Novi Sad alone, the hotspot of these incidents, there were seven accidents with two people lightly injured. Police on the Hunt: Penalties and Bans The Novi Sad Police Department didn’t just sit back. Over the weekend, they sanctioned a total of 96 traffic violations. Shockingly, 96 drivers and seven vehicles were banned from the roads! Ten drivers were detained — five for driving under the influence of alcohol, and five for repeated or continued offenses. These detained drivers will be brought before the competent misdemeanor court, meaning justice is slowly but surely catching up with these reckless offenders.
