Traffic Lights on Adriatic Highway in Solin Out – Chaos on Roads and Police Traffic Control

Morning traffic is expected to be heavy in cities and on access roads, with drivers facing wet and slippery road conditions in some inland areas, warns the Croatian Auto Club (HAK). On the Adriatic Highway (DC8) in Solin, in the Širina area, traffic lights are out due to technical problems, causing chaos on the roads. Police officers are on site managing traffic until the fault is fixed. Maritime traffic is not affected.

Similar traffic issues are occurring in other parts of the region, such as a chain collision in Prijepolje involving three vehicles, fortunately with no injuries. Police and emergency services respond quickly, but traffic jams and delays are inevitable.

Drivers are advised to adjust their speed and driving style to road conditions and maintain a safe distance between vehicles. These situations highlight the importance of readiness and efficiency of responsible services in maintaining traffic safety and flow, especially during the summer months when traffic is heavier.
