Tragedy in Novi Pazar: Student Dies on School Trip Due to Abdominal Aorta Rupture
The town of Novi Pazar is in mourning after 17-year-old high school student Nadija Juković suddenly passed away during a school trip to Switzerland. Her death has deeply shaken her family, friends, and the entire local community.
Nadija was the daughter of respected doctors – her mother Dr. Azra Juković, a pediatric neurologist, and her father Dr. Fehim Juković, a forensic medicine expert. Despite rapid medical intervention, the cause of death was a rupture of the abdominal aorta, a medical condition that proved fatal.
Her peers and teachers describe her as a cheerful, intelligent, and beloved student who radiated positive energy and left a deep mark on her school community. The school has announced a memorial in her honor, and citizens of Novi Pazar have sent numerous condolences to the family.
This tragedy has not only caused immense grief but also raised important questions about the health safety of young people during school trips abroad. Nadija’s premature death leaves a painful void in many lives.
In light of this tragedy, the question arises: how prepared are our systems to protect young people on trips? Is it possible to prevent such tragedies, or are they inevitable?
If you have thoughts or experiences regarding safety on school excursions, feel free to share – maybe your story can help bring about change.
