A tragedy in Smederevska Palanka has shaken all of Serbia – a seven-month-old baby died after, according to the family, being sent home despite being in serious condition. The “Stefan Visoki” hospital stated it is cooperating fully with all relevant authorities and that all circumstances of this unfortunate event will be investigated. The baby’s body was sent for an autopsy. The family, heartbroken and angry, accuses the doctors of negligence that led to their child’s death. The mother emotionally appealed on social media, saying justice must be served because they lost the most precious thing – their child.
