Tragedy at Voždovac Construction Site: Worker Falls 25 Meters and Dies

This morning, a horrific accident occurred at a construction site on Vojvode Stepe Street in Belgrade. A 33-year-old worker fell from scaffolding 25 meters high and suffered severe injuries, dying on the spot. Firefighters had to intervene to allow access for the emergency medical team, but unfortunately, the doctors could do nothing. This is not the only incident at construction sites in Voždovac – earlier today, another worker fell into a 10-meter deep hole but was quickly rescued thanks to the swift action of firefighters. Six firefighters participated in the rescue operation, and the injured worker was taken to the hospital. These accidents raise serious questions about construction site safety in Belgrade. Is it possible that such tragedies still happen in the 21st century? Are the authorities doing their job properly? While the number of accidents on construction sites increases, workers continue to risk their lives due to poor working conditions and inadequate safety measures. If you think this is just bad luck, think again – this is a wake-up call for urgent action and change. What do you think? Is it time to finally put an end to these tragedies, or will we keep counting victims? Drop a comment, share your thoughts, and don’t just stand by silently!
