15 people died in a Novi Sad station collapse. Protests follow.

The tragic event at the Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024, where 15 people died and two were seriously injured, sparked protests, resignations, and blockades throughout Serbia. The canopy collapsed, causing deaths and injuries, leading to numerous police and judicial actions. Goran Vesić, the then Minister of Construction, resigned and was later detained along with other officials. Students organized protests, blockades, and solidarity actions, demanding accountability and change.
