The U19 Women’s Volleyball World Championship isn’t just any tournament; it’s proof that Serbia has the capacity and infrastructure to host the world’s best young volleyball players. Legendary Zoran Gajić, a true icon of Serbian volleyball, toured the sports hall in Trstenik and couldn’t hide his excitement. “A great honor for Serbia and Trstenik!” he said, emphasizing that this town will become a must-visit spot for major sports events in the future.
But let’s get real – how ready is Trstenik, really? Can the local government handle the pressure of organizing such a huge event? Vladimir Savić, president of the local sports association, claims Trstenik is a city of sports and that investments in sports infrastructure will only grow.
