Trump Announces End of Trade Truce: Tariffs Incoming, No More Delays!

Donald Trump sent a clear message: the 90-day trade truce ends on July 9th, and there will be no extensions! His administration will start sending letters to countries notifying them of tariff impositions, even before the deadline expires. “We will see how each country behaves towards us, whether they are fair or not, and for some, honestly, it doesn’t matter, we will just set a high rate for them,” Trump said on Fox News. These letters will say: “Congratulations, you are allowed to buy in the United States, but you will pay tariffs of 10, 25, 35, or even 50 percent!”

Although Trump tried to downplay the deadline, noting how difficult it is to make individual deals with every country, the administration has set a goal to achieve 90 trade agreements in 90 days. “There are countries, you can’t talk to everyone,” he added.

Regarding China, he praised the recent trade deal on rare metals exports but emphasized that serious tariffs will be needed for a fairer relationship. “I think it’s good if we get along well with China. China will pay a lot of tariffs, but we have a huge trade deficit and they understand that,” Trump said.

He also expressed willingness to lift sanctions on Iranian oil exports to China if Iran proves it wants peace and will no longer pose a threat. However, he also showed that America is not unprepared to respond. When asked about China’s attempts to hack American systems and steal intellectual property, Trump replied, “Do you think we don’t do that to them?”

So get ready for a new wave of tariffs and trade tensions! If you thought the truce lasted long, now the real game begins. What do you think — will Trump manage to balance trade relations or will this be another mess? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s for and who’s against this tariff drama!
