Trump’s New Military Play: Will Russia Finally Fall to Sanctions and Patriots?

War in a Dead End? Not Quite!

While the Russian army struggles to break through Ukrainian defenses and the war seems stuck in a dead end, US President Donald Trump is not backing down from his military game. He announced sending the most advanced weapons to Ukraine, including Patriot missile systems, which Ukraine has long requested. According to sources, during a conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump revealed that Putin plans to intensify the offensive in the next two months and is ready to impose new sanctions on Russia, including tariffs up to 50% on imports of oil, gas, and uranium from Russia.

Putin’s Obsession with War and the US Response

Putin’s determination to take over all of Ukraine irritates even Trump himself, who until recently rejected military aid to Kyiv but now decided to send a multi-billion dollar weapons package. The US Senate is considering a law to tighten sanctions, which could seriously hit the Russian economy, especially if countries like China, India, and Brazil are penalized with tariffs for buying Russian oil and other goods.

Drones as the New Deadly Reality

Former Ukrainian army commander Valeriy Zaluzhnyi explained that the war has become transparent thanks to the massive use of drones. Each side can destroy enemy forces up to 20 kilometers from the front line. The cost of drones is low, so they are even used to target individual soldiers. Ukraine and Russia now depend on their economies to produce and shoot down drones, and Ukrainians attack refineries and factories deep inside Russia to slow down Russian production.

Why Can’t Russia Break Through the Ukrainians?

Although Russia has numerical superiority, it fails to break through Ukrainian defenses. Zaluzhnyi claims that Ukraine does not have enough drones to completely stop the Russian offensive, but if they manage to increase the number and crews of drones, they can hold the front with fewer forces. Russia, on the other hand, does not have complete dominance in drones, which is one reason for the lack of major breakthroughs.

Trump’s Frustration and Diplomatic Pressure

Trump stated he is disappointed with talks with Putin and that the war will not stop easily. He is ready to impose tariffs and sanctions that could seriously hurt Russia in the next 50 days. Meanwhile, the US military has halted deliveries of certain missiles to Ukraine, while Russia continues massive drone attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The Kremlin and Media Offensive

The Kremlin is furious about US aid to Ukraine and accuses the US of attacks through the media, claiming their strategy of destroying Western weapons is working successfully. Russia says it is ready to negotiate but only under conditions that respect their interests.

Conclusion: The War Continues, and the World Watches

While Putin plans new offensives and Trump threatens sanctions and sends Patriot systems, the war in Ukraine continues as a cat-and-mouse game. Drones are the new deadly reality, and economic pressure on Russia has never been greater. Will this war finally get an end, or will we see more months of bloodshed? Only time will tell.
