Tourists Robbed in Luxury Mykonos Restaurant: Bills of 1,000 Euros for Three Dishes!

Mykonos or a Robbery Paradise?

Welcome to DK Oyster, a restaurant on the famous Platis Gialos beach in Mykonos, where luxury means one thing only – robbing you blind! Tourists are shocked by bills reaching up to 1,000 euros for three dishes, including fish charged by the gram, which they were not informed about before eating!

Bills That Shock

A TripAdvisor user, Jessica L., described her experience as “the worst in Mykonos.” Her friends paid a staggering 1,000 euros for three dishes! Another guest said that five people paid more than at the most expensive restaurant Skorpios, including starters, main courses, and dessert.

Although the menu lists the price of sea bream as 24.80 euros per gram, the staff does not inform guests about the actual weight of the fish. Only on the bill do the astronomical figures appear, leaving guests in shock.

Scams and Aggressive Selling

Guests claim waiters bring drinks they did not order, presenting them as “gifts,” then charge outrageous prices – one Coca-Cola cost as much as 35 euros!

Another visitor, Amrita, said she was lured by the offer of free sunbeds but only found out on the bill that the fish was charged by the weight of the whole piece, which weighed over half a kilogram, resulting in a 500-euro bill for the fish alone.

Gabriela accused the restaurant of theft, as they charged her 35 euros for a beer, and the waiters immediately brought the bill as if they wanted to leave quickly.

Beware, Tourists!

One visitor warns that the restaurant should be avoided at all costs. Sunbeds and lunch initially cost 35 euros, and after adding two bottles of diet cola, the bill rose by an additional 51 euros. They were also charged 5 euros for ketchup and 18 euros for a small portion of fries.

Owner and Social Media

The restaurant owner, Dimitrios Kalamaras, is known for his luxurious lifestyle openly displayed on social media. According to media reports, he earns huge sums from tourists ordering without prior price checks.

This restaurant has already been under public criticism when a news team discovered they charged 300 euros for three small crab legs.

Conclusion

If you plan to vacation in Mykonos, think twice before sitting down at DK Oyster. Luxury here means one thing only – merciless robbery! Tourists are warned, and you? Would you dare to try fish for 500 euros or a Coke for 35?
