UN: Over 600 People Killed at Aid Points in Gaza – Who’s Responsible for This Massacre?

The UN has confirmed something that’s hard to believe – over 600 people have been killed at aid distribution points in the Gaza Strip! Yes, you read that right. People who were simply trying to get food and help were killed while waiting in lines or near aid convoys. The UN Office for Human Rights reported that these deadly incidents were recorded up to June 27, and the number of victims is staggering.

This humanitarian disaster is unfolding at a time when Gaza’s situation is already on the brink of collapse. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which manages the aid points, started operating at the end of May after a nearly three-month Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid. However, GHF has been criticized for having too few aid points, leading to crowds and exposing people to extreme danger.

Palestinian sources and the World Health Organization (WHO) point to the Israeli military as responsible for these deadly incidents. Most victims were young men and children, shot in the head, neck, chest, and other vital parts while trying to get help for their families. This is not just a tragedy; it’s a massacre of people already on the edge of survival.

To make matters worse, on July 3 alone, at least 101 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, including 51 who were killed while waiting in lines for humanitarian aid. Nighttime airstrikes claimed 82 lives, including 38 who were trying to get aid. This is brutality beyond any human measure.

The Israeli military has not commented on these attacks, while humanitarian organizations and the UN warn of worsening humanitarian conditions and call for urgent and safe access to aid for civilians. But while the world watches and debates, people in Gaza are dying waiting for the help they desperately need to survive.

This situation is a wake-up call for humanity’s conscience. How is it possible that in the 21st century, in the heart of the world, people are being killed while waiting for food? Who will put an end to this madness? Does anyone even care about these lives, or are they just numbers in some distant statistic?

If you’ve got something to say about this tragedy, or maybe a sarcastic comment about how the world works, feel free to drop a line below. Maybe together we can stir up a little more empathy and pressure on those who can stop this bloody circus.
