Unemployed Rights in the Territory of AP Kosovo and Metohija within NSZ

The National Employment Service (NSZ) announced that the rights of the unemployed in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija will not be denied within the NSZ framework. The unemployed will be able to submit requests electronically for issuing certificates and exercising the right to financial compensation. NSZ also emphasized that conditions for regular work and the obligation to report to advisors within prescribed deadlines will be established. However, on May 16, the so-called Kosovo police raided the NSZ premises in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and closed them, causing concern. This situation is part of a broader context of tensions in northern Kosovo and issues regarding the rights of Serbs in that territory.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning sources emphasize the protection of social rights for the unemployed Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, highlighting the importance of maintaining access to employment services despite political tensions. They often criticize the actions of the Kosovo police as aggressive and disruptive to the rights of the Serbian minority.

Center: Centrist sources report the facts about the NSZ’s commitment to uphold the rights of the unemployed in Kosovo and Metohija, noting the administrative measures such as electronic submissions and the police raid as part of ongoing regional tensions. They tend to present a balanced view without strong political bias.

Right: Right-leaning sources focus on the violation of Serbian rights by Kosovo authorities, portraying the police raid as an illegal and provocative act against the Serbian community. They emphasize the need for Serbia to protect its citizens in Kosovo and Metohija and criticize international institutions for not intervening effectively.
