Unemployment in Eurozone rose to 6.3% in December.

The unemployment rate in the eurozone increased to 6.3% in December, while in the EU it rose to 5.9%. In December, there were about 12.97 million unemployed people in the EU, with 10.83 million in the eurozone. Compared to November, unemployment increased by 94,000 in the EU and 96,000 in the eurozone. However, on a year-over-year basis, unemployment decreased by 261,000 in the EU and 266,000 in the eurozone. The youth unemployment rate up to
