Unique Machinery Ring in Zlatibor: Unusual Business Blossoms in the Village of Kriva Reka

In Zlatibor, in the village of Kriva Reka, the only machinery ring in Serbia operates, established by the Agrotechnical Center of the Čajetina municipality. The center possesses modern machinery, including tractors, seeders, combines, and other equipment, which farmers can use at subsidized prices. This model is especially important for smaller producers with fragmented plots who cannot afford expensive machinery. The Agrotechnical Center enables efficient land cultivation, preparation of bulky fodder, and other agricultural works. The project is supported by various funds, including European ones, and there are plans to organize an agriculture and gastro-tourism fair in Zlatibor, further highlighting the potential of agriculture in this tourist region.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning reports emphasize the community and cooperative aspects of the machinery ring, highlighting how it supports small farmers and promotes sustainable agriculture. They focus on the social benefits, accessibility of modern technology to less affluent farmers, and the role of public and European funds in supporting rural development.

Center: Center-leaning articles present a balanced view, focusing on the economic development and modernization of agriculture in Zlatibor. They highlight the efficiency gains from shared machinery, the importance of supporting local farmers, and the potential for agritourism to boost the regional economy without strong ideological framing.

Right: Right-leaning coverage tends to emphasize entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and the business opportunities created by the machinery ring. They highlight the importance of private initiative, the role of local government in facilitating business, and the potential for agriculture to complement tourism as a driver of economic growth.
