Tariffs may harm Serbia’s industry and exports.

Bojan Stanić from the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia emphasizes that the fragmentation of the global economy and the introduction of tariffs could negatively impact Serbia. U.S. tariffs on products from Mexico, Canada, and China raise concerns about the possible introduction of protectionist measures that could affect Europe, and consequently Serbia. He points out that free trade has been crucial for global growth in recent decades, but current trends are diminishing that potential. Serbia hopes that, as an EU candidate, it will be exempt from such measures.
