Corruption at the Highest Level: Zagrebparking Employee Caught in Crime Network!
Zagreb and Split are shaking again! USKOK has launched a new wave of arrests, and at the center of attention is a Zagrebparking employee, Ivan Brkić, brother of the late Tonči Brkić, who was already linked to suspicious activities. This employee is accused of leaking confidential data from the Ministry of Interior’s vehicle database to vehicle owners, using his job access.
But that’s not all! The information allegedly ended up in the hands of the criminal group led by Nenad Petrak, a notorious drug lord currently imprisoned in Split. Davor Bubić, known as Popaj and a childhood friend of Marko Livaja, passed the information further.
This corruption and crime network used the Sky ECC app, cracked five years ago, which was a favorite tool for arranging drug trafficking, kidnappings, and removing competition.
The most prominent name among the arrested is Marinko Zovko, son of the owner of a hotel and gas station in Sesvete, known as the “king of oil.” He was the director of a fuel trading company and was known to the public as a handsome entrepreneur with connections to models. However, justice caught up with him – he was sentenced to 30 days in jail for reckless driving on a Serbian highway.
The late Toni Brkić, who was mentioned in the “Walter” operation related to cigarette smuggling but was never arrested, is also connected to this case. Tragically, he was assassinated in an ambush near his family home while arriving in his Mercedes.
Zagrebparking immediately reacted, announcing disciplinary measures against the arrested employee, including suspension from work and denial of access to databases. The management claims zero tolerance for corruption and systematically processes every irregularity.
This operation sheds new light on the depth of criminal activities hidden behind seemingly ordinary jobs. How is it possible that a parking employee has access to such sensitive data and uses it for criminal purposes? Is this just the tip of the iceberg?
As the investigation continues, the question remains – how many more such cases are waiting to surface?

USKOK and Police Keep Going
This operation is not an isolated case. USKOK and the police continue arrests and investigations based on evidence from the Sky ECC app, which was a favorite tool for criminals to arrange drug trafficking and other illegal activities.
Over the past few years, this network has been exposed, but it seems the connections are deep, and criminals do not give up easily.
Interestingly, people from various spheres have been arrested – from public enterprise workers to well-known entrepreneurs. This shows how deeply rooted corruption is and how hard it is to break these chains.
Marinko Zovko – King of Oil or Criminal?
Marinko Zovko, son of the owner of a hotel and gas station, was known as a successful businessman and socialite. However, his role in this case casts a shadow over his reputation.
His company dealt in fuel trading, and he was known for connections with models and a luxurious lifestyle. Nevertheless, justice caught up with him, and he was arrested in this operation.
His driving on a Serbian highway, where he was caught driving at 200 km/h in bad weather conditions, ended in jail, further confirming his recklessness.
What’s Next?
Zagrebparking announced that the employee will be suspended from work and denied access to all databases. If criminal acts are confirmed, disciplinary measures will follow.
This situation is a warning to all public services to better protect confidential data and that corruption must have no place.
The investigation continues, and the public will be timely informed about further steps.
Conclusion
This new USKOK operation reveals how deep and dangerous the network of corruption and crime is in Croatia. From an ordinary parking worker to well-known businessmen, all are involved in dangerous games that threaten security and justice.
While justice fights these powerful criminal groups, we must stay vigilant and demand accountability. Because if such things happen in our backyard, who’s next?
