Horror in Split: Duo Drugged and Sexually Assaulted Victim in Hotel!

Imagine a nightmare scene: two men, high on drugs, sexually assaulting and abusing a victim in a hotel room! This is not a movie, but a horrifying reality in Split, Croatia. The County State Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against two men, aged 32 and 36, for serious crimes against sexual freedom and enabling drug use.

Chilling Details

The first accused, at the end of April, in the Split-Dalmatia County, used physical force and threatened the victim with a knife to have sexual intercourse and perform sexual acts without consent. He is also charged with procuring the drug speed and distributing it to others. The second accused, in agreement with the first, brought the victim to a hotel room where they jointly used speed and marijuana, and without the victim’s consent, touched her intimate parts.

Drugs, Violence, and Knife Threats – A Triple Horror Package!

These two not only abused the victim but also facilitated and used drugs, worsening the situation. The Prosecutor’s Office has proposed extending the pre-trial detention of the first accused due to the danger of repeating the crime. This case is not just about violence but a wake-up call about the dangers drugs and violence pose in nightlife.

Why Does This Happen?

Unfortunately, cases like this are not isolated. Drugs and violence often go hand in hand, and victims are left to fight trauma alone. Knife threats and physical violence further intimidate and prevent victims from seeking help.

What Can We Learn?

This case is a call to action! There is a need to strengthen drug control, ensure safety in nightclubs and hotels, and provide support to victims of violence. The state and society must work together to prevent such tragedies.

Conclusion

The horror in Split is a reminder that violence and drugs are not distant problems but a reality that can affect anyone. While justice deals with this case, the rest of us can only wonder – how many such stories are hidden behind closed doors?
