Up to 30 Days Detention for Užice Blockaders: Police and Judiciary Stand Firm!

Užice blockaders face up to 30 days in detention after violently breaking through a police cordon during a blockade of the Ibarska highway. Seven arrested individuals, including Radovan Novaković, Pavle Cicvarić, Vladan Sinđić, and others, are suspected of attacking an official during duty. Police and judiciary are standing firm, citing the risk of repeated offenses and public disturbance. The blockaders, unhappy with the decision, have announced protests outside the Užice court. Two others, Marko Krejović and Branko Jovanović, were held for 48 hours, with decisions pending on their detention. This situation highlights the intense conflict between citizens and authorities, where law and order are enforced with an iron fist, and public discontent is boiling over. Is this the dawn of a new era of repression or just a temporary clash? Either way, Užice is heating up, and blockades and protests are just around the corner.
