Fire Ravages North Macedonia: Four Active Wildfires, Skopje on the Brink!
North Macedonia is burning! Today, 14 wildfires were recorded, with four still active, and the flames have already reached the outskirts of Skopje. The situation is becoming alarming, warns the North Macedonia Crisis Management Center.
Fires have broken out in multiple locations: Nikolić, Dojran, Pelince, Staro Nagoričane, Devič, and the Macedonian ship area near Skopje. Two fires have been localized, several brought under control, but the risk of new fires remains very high due to extremely high temperatures.
This disaster threatens not only nature but also people — the fire is approaching urban areas, and the danger of spreading is significant. Firefighters and crisis teams are working at full capacity, but nature is relentless. Will Skopje manage to avoid catastrophe, or will we witness the city burning?
