Vidovdan Chaos: Police vs Extremists, 48 Injured and 38 Detained!

Vidovdan in Belgrade turned into a full-blown chaos! Police had their hands full after about 36 protesters at Slavija Square started breaking public order after 9 PM. A group of violent individuals attacked police officers on Kneza Miloša street, and after multiple warnings, clashes escalated. In total, 48 police officers were injured, with one suffering severe head injuries and a fractured cheekbone, likely from a thrown stone. A huge amount of protective gear was destroyed, and 38 people were detained. Criminal charges will be filed against 35 individuals, while 26 will face misdemeanor proceedings. Emergency services treated 22 citizens, two of whom sustained serious injuries. Analysts warn that extremists are ready to cause serious chaos in downtown Belgrade, with many viewing this event as a continuation of a colored revolution and an attempt to turn children against each other. Police officials and politicians call for unity and solidarity to build a stable Serbia, but street violence continues unabated. Vidovdan, a day symbolizing Serbian history and unity, was marked this year by clashes and tensions worrying all citizens.
