Violence on Vidovdan: Police vs Blockaders in Belgrade

The streets of Belgrade turned into a battlefield on Vidovdan! Three blockaders have been detained for 48 hours for brutally attacking the police during a protest that escalated into chaos. The First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade announced that Đ. J. (54), S. R. (26), and P. P. (22) are suspected of attacking an official during the performance of duty. But that’s not all – the police have filed criminal charges against several other participants, while a misdemeanor procedure is underway against A. E. (24). All this happened during the blockader protest on Vidovdan, which instead of peace and remembrance brought only violence and chaos to the streets of Belgrade.

Šešelj immediately commented that “it’s high time the police intervened,” drawing a parallel with the violent gathering on October 5, while Petrović claims the regime is trying to destroy the state from within through inflation and uprisings. Božidar Spasić called the events “terrorist organizations” and emphasized that everyone knew how things would unfold. Footage from the scene shows savagery and chaos, and Kurir reporter Milan Vučković provided the latest information from the streets of Belgrade.

The police have ordered the filing of criminal charges for endangering security and attacking an official, while other events are still under investigation. All this is happening at a time when tensions in Serbia are rising, and the question arises of how to protect citizens and calm street conflicts. Vidovdan, which should be a day of peace and remembrance, has turned into a day of violence and clashes.

If you think this is the end, think again! The violence doesn’t stop, and many wonder what the future holds. Will the authorities finally react, or will we watch the state crumble before our eyes? Drop your thoughts below – maybe your word can change the course of events!
