Serbian Army in Lebanon: Peace or Adventure?
Did you know that our army has been keeping peace in Lebanon for years? Yes, you read that right! Serbian soldiers are there, in the east and west sectors, as part of the United Nations mission, and they’re not just hanging around – they’re seriously working!
What’s going on?
Six months ago, an infantry company and specialists from Serbia took over duties in the east sector. Their mission? To keep peace in one of the most volatile parts of the world. And they’ve shown professionalism that could serve as an example to everyone.
In the west, a Serbian platoon protects peacekeeping forces, meaning our guys are on the front lines there too. Since 2006, Serbia has been part of this peace operation, and that’s no small feat.
Why does it matter?
By participating in such missions, Serbia not only helps the world stay peaceful but also shows how capable and professional our army is. It’s like saying, “Hey, we’re here, we can help, and we know what we’re doing!”
