Do you know what real power is? It’s not money or fame, it’s KNOWLEDGE! And in Vranje, kids have shown they possess a power no one can take away. At the grand ceremony awarding diplomas and prizes to talented elementary and high school students, held at the Vranje City Assembly, these young stars shined at the 67th national and regional competition. No joke – these kids snagged awards in a whopping 14 subjects! From math, computer science, biology, chemistry, to literature and English – Vranje proved it’s home to a true elite of young minds.
The City Assembly President, Zorica Jović, beamed with pride as she handed out diplomas and congratulated the students. “Your knowledge is a power no one can take from you!” she declared, reminding everyone that the Cultural-Educational Center in Vranje not only preserves tradition but nurtures young talent from the Pčinja and Jablanica districts. The goal? To secure a better future for these kids. And this isn’t empty talk – the results speak for themselves.
Who are these geniuses? Marta Milosavljević from Vranjska Banja grabbed 3rd place in math, while Ivona Stanisavljević and Mihailo Mihajlović dazzled in computer science. Nikola Ilić and Julija Babović took second places in English, and Lazar Trajković scored first place in biology plus two special awards! The list goes on, with every student backed by mentors who believed in them and helped them shine.
The Center’s director, Izabela Savić, emphasized ongoing support for these young talents, calling them role models and the pride of their families. Lazar Trajković, one of the awardees, said something worth remembering: “Success isn’t just the result, it’s the journey we took.”
This story isn’t just about trophies and diplomas. It’s about Serbia’s future, about kids who don’t give up, who fight and prove that knowledge and hard work pay off. If you think this is just another boring school story, think again. These young people are proof that Vranje and Serbia are breeding grounds for future scientists, engineers, artists, and leaders.
So, what are you waiting for? Ever been part of such a competition? Or maybe you have a talented student in your family? Share your stories, because these things deserve to be heard and celebrated! And remember – knowledge is power, and power is in your hands!
