Scorching Heat, But Vučić Keeps Building!
While the sun scorched Serbia at a blistering 45 degrees Celsius, President Aleksandar Vučić was undeterred. Touring the final works on the Laz and Munjino Brdo tunnels on the Pakovraće-Požega highway, Vučić declared that this infrastructure project is a dream of generations and a symbol of the country’s progress.
“It’s easy to break a glass, hard to make one,” Vučić said, emphasizing that it’s easy to destroy a country but hard to build and restore. Despite the sweltering conditions, the president stressed that Serbia will continue to build and work because in work lie future victories and success.
The Laz tunnel is behind us, and ahead lies Munjino Brdo — a total of 24 new kilometers of highway connecting the region and people, laying the foundation for Serbia’s future. Vučić is proud of this project, which he says was a dream of generations and is now a reality.
Serbia Doesn’t Stop, Even at +45!
This construction is not just a road but a symbol that Serbia is moving forward, connecting people and the region, and building a strong state. Vučić posted a video from the tunnel on his Instagram, promising to continue building a successful and strong Serbia.
Why Does This Matter?
At a time when many doubt the country’s ability to develop, projects like this prove that Serbia does not give up. The Pakovraće-Požega highway with tunnels is key to better connectivity in western Serbia, which will bring economic growth and ease citizens’ lives.
But Wait, There’s More!
This is not the only infrastructure boom in the region. Nearby, an interstate bridge at Šćepan Polje is being built to connect Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and highways connecting Belgrade and Sarajevo are planned. Regional cooperation and connectivity are crucial for stability and development.
Heat, Work, and the Future
While temperatures in Serbia reach up to 39 degrees, and in Kikinda even 36, workers tirelessly finish these projects. Vučić personally visited the sites, showing that even extreme heat is no obstacle to progress.
The Bottom Line?
Serbia is building and changing, not just in Belgrade but also in the western parts. While some sit in air-conditioned rooms complaining about the heat, Vučić and his team are making roads that will lead us to a better future.
What about you? Ready to drive on the new highway as the temperature rises? Or will you stay home and watch Serbia change? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s for action and who’s for the AC!
