Serbia on the Road to the Future – Vučić Opens the Highway Section That Changes the Game!
Are you ready for a revolution on Serbian roads? President Aleksandar Vučić has officially opened a new section of the E763 highway “Miloš Veliki” between Pakovraće and Požega, stretching an impressive 19.56 kilometers! This is not just any road – it features the two longest road tunnels in Serbia, Laz and Munjino Brdo, built to the highest global standards. Vučić is proud and openly states this is one of the most important infrastructure projects in the country.
Goodbye potholes and dust – welcome to the Serbia of the future!
“Today, all those potholes, bends, and dangerous slopes are a thing of the past,” Vučić declared. After years of hard work, Serbia has built more kilometers of highways in the last 12 years than in the previous 67! Yes, you read that right – 12 years of work have surpassed decades of stagnation. And it’s not over – Vučić announces new sections and continued modernization because Serbia is not stopping.
Blockades? Just an extra challenge!
Of course, not everything went smoothly. Vučić sharply condemned the blockades and protests that tried to halt the country’s development. “They block, throw garbage, mock workers, but they cannot defeat hardworking people,” the president said. He highlighted heroes like Dejan Sakić and Kristijan Knežević, workers who clean up the mess left by unreasonable blockades. Vučić appealed to citizens to restrain themselves but also stated the state will know how to enforce order and protect everyone.
Safety first – emergency services in tunnels!
Some criticized the tunnel safety, but Vučić responded that emergency vehicles and firefighters will be present alongside the tunnels at all times, just like in the most modern European tunnels such as Mont Blanc. “The tunnel looks better than Mont Blanc, it just has fewer lanes,” the president joked, but seriously emphasized that everything was done to the highest standards.
Technology and 24/7 monitoring
Not only is the road built to top standards – Vučić visited the operational control center for traffic monitoring on the new section. Control rooms will monitor traffic 24/7, and in case of any incident, trained teams will respond immediately. This is a prime example of how technology can save lives and make driving safer.
What’s next?
Vučić announced that negotiations will soon begin for building new sections, including routes towards Užice and Zlatibor. The highway will continue through challenging mountainous terrain, further connecting Serbia and boosting its development.
Conclusion: Serbia is not stopping, and blockades are just a temporary obstacle!
While some try to stop progress, Serbia is building the future. With the most modern highways, safe tunnels, and technological oversight, the country shows it can and will move forward. Vučić is proud of the people and workers who build this future every day, and we remain watching and wondering – who will be the next to try to stop this train?
