Vučić Pleads for Peace as Blockades Strangle Serbia: Is This the Beginning of the End?

Vučić pleaded for peace last night as Serbia is suffocating under blockades that are choking everyday life. In a video message on Instagram, the Serbian president highlighted the opening of a new factory in Čačak and announced that a new highway in Požega will open in just 48 hours. But guess what? There are those who don’t love Serbia — not just from inside, but from outside too. “They decided to make your life miserable, blocking your way to work and normal life,” Vučić said, begging citizens not to participate in the blockades scheduled in several cities, including Belgrade.

He warned that these blockades are serious criminal offenses, against the law and constitutional norms of freedom of movement. Although the government does not want to use force, Vučić made it clear that the state cannot allow this kind of violence, or else it would mean the end of the state. “Please, think twice, don’t hate your country so much,” the president pleaded.

Meanwhile, the opposition and the civic movement Ura are announcing changes in their ranks but continue to fight against everything they see as bad for the citizens. As political games go on, blockades and protests are causing daily chaos on the streets, and ordinary people are the ones paying the price.

Will Serbia manage to find peace and stability, or will blockades and political tensions keep tearing the country apart? Vučić is pleading, but who’s listening? Got thoughts? Drop them in the comments — maybe you have the magic fix for this mess!
