Lazar Šćepanović, acting director of the Police Directorate, openly revealed how the Police Directorate and the National Security Agency (ANB) are not giving an inch to organized criminal groups from neighboring countries trying to launder dirty money on Montenegrin soil. In the TV show “Načisto” on Vijesti TV, Šćepanović confirmed that the police are hunting for the fugitive member of the Kavač clan, Ljubo Milović, while unofficially it is known that one of the suspects in the drug smuggling case, known as “general” Vuk Vulević, is currently in Belgrade. This group, colloquially called “Bemax 2”, operates like a real criminal mafia, with deep ties in Serbian political circles.
Šćepanović refused to disclose which neighboring countries are involved but made it clear that multiple countries are in question. The Police Directorate and ANB are putting up strong resistance, but the question remains how long they can withstand the pressure from these powerful criminal networks.
To make matters worse, the case of Danilo Mandić, accused of attempted murder, further complicates the situation. Mandić allegedly fired from an official vehicle of the Montenegrin Parliament at Darko Perović and Aris Turković, and the investigation is ongoing. Although evidence has been collected, the victim changed his statement, casting a shadow over the entire case and raising questions about pressure and manipulation within the judicial system.
