Belgrade was once again the scene of violence last night! A 20-year-old young man was stabbed with a knife outside a popular club at Staro Sajmište. The police received the report early in the morning, exactly at 3:40 AM. Yes, you read that right — a knife! The victim was stabbed in the buttocks and leg area, and fortunately, the injuries were classified as minor. But how many more young people have to suffer before something serious is done? This is not an isolated incident but part of a dark trend spreading through the streets of Belgrade and beyond.
Violence during night outings has become almost normal. People go out to have fun and end up in the emergency room with stab wounds! Who’s next? And why aren’t the authorities and police taking this problem seriously? Is this the price we pay for a broken society where economic factors, emotional immaturity, and social barriers create a perfect storm for violence?
This case is just the tip of the iceberg. Every day we hear about new attacks, fights, and murders. And what are the authorities doing? Justice is silent, and the streets are burning. Is it possible that we have become a society that tolerates violence?
While young people fight for their lives, society buries its head in the sand. This young man had his whole life ahead of him, and now he is a victim of senseless violence. Will we allow such tragedies to happen again? Or will we finally put an end to this madness?
