Zagreb Stock Exchange in Ecstasy: Končar Drives Indices to the Sky!
This morning at the Zagreb Stock Exchange, there is pure euphoria! The Crobex indices have been up for eight consecutive days, all thanks to Končar group shares that have literally set the trading scene on fire. Crobex rose by 0.26%, while Crobex10 strengthened by 0.33%, both reaching new record levels.
Trading volume exploded, with around ten thousand euros traded by 10:30 am, significantly more than last Friday. The highest turnover was recorded by Končar EI shares, which increased by as much as 3.35%, while Končar DAMPST shares also jumped about 2.9%.
But not everything is up – four other shares fell, including HTA (-0.7%), Podravka (-1.3%), Valamar Riviera (-1.6%), and Mon Perin (-3.6%).
Clearly, Končar is the main player driving the market up, while other players are losing ground. Is this the beginning of a new era for the Croatian economy or just a short-term boom? Only time will tell, but for now, investors are ecstatic!
