Well folks, the first phase of military conscript training in Serbia is officially done! Are our young recruits ready for war or just for Instagram? In training centers in Sombor, Valjevo, and Leskovac, the June generation of soldiers underwent a basic individual skills test. The goal? To see if they can independently perform tactical battlefield maneuvers, handle personal weapons and military gear, and carry out duties of internal service and facility security. The results? Apparently, the soldiers mastered all the required content, proving the training was well planned and executed. But let’s not get too optimistic — how many of them actually know what they’re doing, and how many are just following orders? After this phase, the youngest will be moved to specialist training centers to learn their military specialties, followed by collective training and active involvement in the Serbian Army units. And yes, if they like military life, they can apply for professional military service right away and become part of the professional army. But let’s be real — how many will actually stay? All in all, Serbia takes its military training seriously, but the question remains — is this just another phase teaching young men to be soldiers, or is it just another step turning the army into an Instagram stage? What do you think? Is military service today more of a chance for personal growth or just an obligation to survive? Drop a comment, let’s see who’s in and who’s out!
