Chaos in Zemun: Drivers Break Through Blockades, Citizens Fight, Police Arrest!

The streets of Zemun are in total chaos! Drivers are desperately trying to break through barricades set up by citizens in protest, but instead of peace, we get fights and arrests. Yesterday, an Audi driver tried to bypass a barricade on Dunavski Kej, but was stopped by people using their bodies and then physically attacked! The police quickly reacted and arrested the driver, but incidents keep piling up. The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade immediately ordered the identification and prosecution of all participants in this violent behavior.

But that’s not all! Videos are circulating on social media showing people persistently building new barricades as soon as the police remove the old ones. The situation is explosive, and tensions are rising. It’s no wonder that students and citizens across Serbia have been blocking roads for the third consecutive day, demanding early parliamentary elections and the release of detainees.

The police are not sitting idle – they also arrested a Swedish citizen who allegedly tried to bribe a police officer to allow him to pass through the blockade. And President Vučić is not holding back: “We will not allow blockades of vital facilities! Everyone will be arrested!”

Despite everything, citizens are not giving up. The blockades have spread to multiple cities, and the police arrested 44 people just last night. In Novi Sad, a physics student was arrested, and in Dorćol, citizens clashed with the police.

This all sounds like a scene from an action movie, but it’s the reality in Serbia today. Will this ever calm down? Or will we see even more chaos on the streets? If you have your own take or saw something crazy at the blockades, drop a comment below – let’s see who’s on whose side and what for!
