Singer Žiža Stojanović Forgotten at Funeral: Where Did All the Celebrities Go?

Imagine this scene: the legendary actress and singer Žiža Stojanović, known for her role as Cane Fontana in the series “Happy People,” passed away at the age of 95. But her funeral? A real tragedy! She was laid to rest with her family and only two public figures present. Yes, you read that right – just two! Among them was ethno music singer Milica Dugalić, who told the media she was shocked by the small number of people at the funeral. “My heart stopped when I walked in and saw about ten people and flowers like two flower shops. No one came personally!” Milica said, clearly expressing disappointment and outrage.

Where are all the people Žiža taught, helped, and mentored? Žiža was a woman with the best diction in the acting world, a talent she didn’t flaunt much but everyone knew and respected. And now? It’s shameful that public figures didn’t come to pay their respects.

Even sadder is the story of Žiža’s grandson, who during his stay in a nursing home was completely cut off from the world – his mobile phone was off, the landline disconnected, no one could reach him. The grandson barely found a place to bury his grandmother, who didn’t want to die in a home but among her own things.

Milica Dugalić also revealed that what hurt Žiža the most was not receiving a national pension she deserved. So many awards, yet no decoration or pension! “I expect she will get a decoration, she deserved it,” Milica said, admitting that the entire actress’s estate was left to her grandson.

This story is more than sadness – it’s anger over injustice and neglect of a legend. Where is the respect and gratitude? Where are the public figures who knew who Žiža Stojanović was?

If you think this is just another sad news story, think again. This is a wake-up call! Comment, laugh, or get mad – but don’t stay indifferent. Because if we treat legends like this, what awaits us tomorrow?

So, what do you think – does Žiža deserve a better farewell? Or is this just a reflection of the times we live in? Drop a comment, let the voice of justice be heard!
