Get ready for some serious drama because Amazon just dropped the teaser for the new psychological thriller series “The Girlfriend”! Starring Olivia Cooke, known from “House of the Dragon,” and Robin Wright, the star of “House of Cards” and “Forrest Gump.”
The plot? Laura Wright has a perfect life – a successful career, a devoted husband, and a son named Daniel. But when Daniel brings home a new girlfriend, Cherry, things start to unravel. Laura immediately senses something is off about Cherry, who charms everyone but hides dark intentions.
The series explores the thin line between care and obsession, truth and illusion. Is Cherry a real threat or just Laura’s paranoia? Amazon promises this story will raise questions about trust, motherhood, and control.
